For sale is an AMAZING, vintage, Whiting & Davis, Art Deco, sterling mesh with red and cream enamel, kiss closure, flapper's purse! The purse is a rare, Whiting & Davis, style. It is a silver mesh with a matching chain. It has a very Art Deco, red and cream, geometric, enamel design painted throughout!
The top has a kiss style closure and the bottom edges are scalloped. Inside is not lined but the original silver tag reads : MESH WHITING & DAVIS CO BAGS, 925, Made in USA.
It is a unique, quality, purse that is the epitome of early 20th century style. It is in excellent, vintage condition, especially for its age. There are no mesh flaws or loss that are to be expected with a nearly 100 year old purse. A great little bag that is stylish in any era!
